Packing
Full, part, or just the fragile end of it. In period houses we would recommend at least the glass, mirrors, pictures and anything with a polished finish — which here are frequently the expensive items.
Antiques, art and fine furniture
Wrapped rather than blanketed, carried last, kept together. Where a single item is genuinely exceptional we will recommend a specialist for that piece rather than take it on ourselves.
Storage
Containerised and inventoried in and out, for when completion dates on substantial properties refuse to align. Ask early so the space is held.
Private-road and estate access
Moor Park and the other private roads set their own rules on vehicle access and hours. We check with the estate in advance rather than at the gate.
Dismantle and reassembly
Beds, wardrobes and tables taken apart and rebuilt, with fixings kept attached to the piece. Original doors removed and rehung where that is the only way a piece can pass.
Staged and partial moves
Downsizing, renovation or a move spread across more than one day. Tell us what must stay usable and we will work in that order.
Where the list ends
Asbestos. We do not remove or handle it. It needs a licensed contractor, and in outbuildings and garage roofs of this age it does turn up. If it appears mid-job we stop and tell you.
Grand pianos on an external route. Uprights we handle; a grand, or anything coming out through a window, we assess first and will hand to a piano specialist where that is the honest answer.
